Operation
Make sure the machine is used as directed by instructions.
Supervision
Always keep watch on the machine during such operations as cutting out or engraving, especially when inflamable materials are beeing processed.
Don't overcharge safety circuits and switches
This is very important for your safety and that of people working nearby. These laser machines are registered class 1, just like a DVD-R / W or a laser printer. Safety circuits prevent the machine from working when the lid is open, which makes it a class 4 laser product. Using it in such conditions is very dangerous and should be avoided.
Cleaning
Splinters and scraps of all sorts must be regularly wiped off from working area to avoid a fire being caused by the laser beam. Special care should be taken with inflamable materials.
Cutting
Acrylic is comparatively very easy to cut. Set the laser output on 80% and ajust required speed. Excessively high speed should be avoided so that edges should be perfectly finished.
Cleaning of the lens
The lens must be taken out ( it can be unscrewed ) and checked before use. Clean it with a cotton stick and one or two drops of lens cleaning fluid. This should be done with care. Our customers are shown how to proceed during initial training. A scratched lens is useless and must be replaced.
The normal process of laser cutting gathers scraps of all sorts. When working on dirty or smoky materials, the lens soon gets dusty or greasy, which makes it overheat and destroys it.
